29/8/14 ‘The barber of Seville’ at Liceu
‘The Barber of Seville’, the most famous comic opera of all time, comes to the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona , from September 14th to 25th. The performance takes place in Seville in the late XVIII century and tells the story of grumpy old Bartolo to keep Rosina away from all suitors and marry him. It is the contrast of an archetype of the ancient world, Bartolo, against the modernity of a lover, Almaviva.
