Today we will interview Juan Luis Leprevost, manager of the renewed live events Schedule of our Omm Club in the hotel.

- Juanlu, you have an impresive career as a musician and producer. How it started?

When i was a child i wanted to be an inventor and i think is exactly what I actually do that i do with the music… i create songs, records, groups and music events. I started as a bass guitarist before creating my own music. Besides, i made a debut as a songwriter for musicians and i traveled around the world for a long time. I wrote music for movies and documentals and i also made a debut in the creative world of music performances and events in different kind of clubs.

- What do you stand out of your career?

The Grammy adward that i won with my first group Ojos de Brujo and also being in the shortlist at the Latin Grammy Adwards with Calima, my next project related to flamenco music mixed with other kind of music.

- Actually, you are the manager of the Omm Club Lobby. How it raise up this project?

In 2009 I already took part of the Schedule of the hotel. I’ve benn more than a year bringing musicians to the Lobby. Some months ago they called me for an ambitious project, planify the three areas of the Hotel: Lobby, restarurant and the new aera Omm Club with every structural remodelations, image and sound that they have done.

- What changes do you think you can put in?

First of all, an ad-hoc and professional agreement in different points thanks of my current position as a music productor. Besides, i have large knowelege about the music in Barcelona and also experience in cordinate diferent spectacles in some areas like tecnic and set setting… I’m also used to create mixed performances with musicians and DJ’s for any type of situation which requieres one area or event. I mean, I’m creative and observer so i hope i will put in those skills to the team.

- Since now, the thursday, friday and saturdays nights will start in the Lobby bar. What sort of music and atmosphere can we find out?

Well, the warm atmosphere in the evenings is the most important point. In the lobby the people can read, work with their landstops or drink a coctail. Later, from 11:00 p.m the idea is to offer surprise, showmans or anythink what that will break up the evening with unexpected art.

- And the Omm Club?

In the Omm Club we will want to be a Club where people come over to listen the best in live “funk” in Barcelona. The Club is ready for dancing and being relaxed.

- What is the most satisfactory point in your work?

When I see that everything is fine and everybody is enjoying.

- Can you give three reasons to our costumers to come over to enjoy their nights in our hotel.
